Stephanie Weeden & Lauren Jensen
About your business or what you specialize in: We are a counseling private practice specializing in grief and loss. We also work with individuals, couples, and families to provide support for personal growth and life challenges (depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relational support, etc).
How did you get into this line of work? Through our own personal experiences of grief and loss and finding support in therapy we recognized our own passion to continue providing support, growth, and grief awareness in our community. We spent many hours dreaming together about starting our business while digging in the dirt at the Golden Community Garden.
Who inspires you both? Aside from Yoda and Mr. T., we’re inspired by the clients we’re honored to meet and do work with! Specifically, Lauren is inspired by a dear friend who after tragic loss and a life she never anticipated, continues to live bravely and choose love over fear, while Stephanie is inspired by a few close friends that are committed to seeking vulnerability and authenticity in how they live life and show up for each other.
Do you have anything to ask of the Connects community? Please send us referrals that may benefit from the type of support we offer. We also ask that you be aware that grief doesn't only occur when someone dies but rather can be experienced through a number of significant life changes. Empower others and yourself by seeking support or encouraging others to do so!
