Dan Thoemke DT Construct Inc.
Short description of what you business does or what you specialize in: DT Construct exists to build and remodel great spaces for our customers to live, work and play. We specialize in two main categories, high end residential remodeling, additions and custom home building; as well as commercial tenant finishes to include restaurants, retail and office spaces. We have a full service team of project managers, superintendents and field experts who work together with our customers to give them the attention to detail they need to execute and end up with an awesome space. The DT team is committed to communication, transparency and quality. How did you get into this line of work? I grew up in the construction industry, my father owned his own HVAC company. I have always been a very hands on guy and love to see a blank space become a dream for others. Construction is very tangible and rewarding. I have spent my adult life caring for people through my church and non-profit efforts as well as working with construction customers to care about their spaces, ideas and designs. I see construction as a fascinating collaborative platform that we all get to stand on and create something meaningful. Who inspires you? My father Claude is my biggest inspiration, he taught me a healthy balance of caring for what matters most in life meaning God, Family and Friends in that order. Then from there you will have the personal alignment necessary to build a company that people want to work for and customers want to hire. My father passed away in 2020 and his words and actions have began to speak louder in my everyday life. I will forever be grateful for his inspiration.
Do you have a request or ask of the Connects community? If you are considering a construction project in 2021 or 2022 please let me know how I can help. The best construction projects are the ones where you get involved with a general contractor early in the game to help you do some value engineering within the design process and prepare for a great project.
